News from NCSE: Climate Workshop for Teachers at Lake Texoma 9/26-28

There’s still a chance for in-service and pre-service teachers to take advantage of a great opportunity: a workshop on the science of climate change and variability, taking place at the University of Oklahoma Biological Station on Lake Texoma, Oklahoma, from September 26 to September 28. If you’re not a teacher yourself, please spread the word to any high school science teachers and college majors in science education that you know! The registration deadline is September 15, so act now.

Workshop for Teachers: Science of Climate Change and Variability

Weekend workshop (Sept. 26-28, 2014) at the University of Oklahoma Biological Station on Lake Texoma

Topics include current climate science, inquiry-based learning, state curriculum and classroom issues

  • Taught by experts on climate science and science education
  • Open to all science teachers, and science education students in Oklahoma and North Texas
  • 16 hours of professional development credit
  • Room, board, and materials are included in $25 registration
