Wow. The start of a new year and the start of a new term for the OSTA Board began today with the first meeting of the NEW OSTA Board. This is an outstanding group of teacher-leaders. The group represents all regions and grade levels of science teachers in Oklahoma public, private, common ed. and higher ed. Some have taught but a few years, others are in their fourth decade in the profession.
With 4 newly elected members, today is the first time many of them have met face to face so the first hour of this morning’s meeting was taken to introduce and learn who’s who. After that began the real work of setting the program for OSTA in 2011. Future Board meetings were set for February, April, June , August, September, and October. Minutes from the January meeting will be posted soon on the OSTA Information page. OSTA committee appointment are now being made by 2011 President Kay Emde.
