OSTA Member Elected to NABT Position

Bethany Lorenz

Putnam City North biology teacher Bethany Lorenz has been elected to a three year term as Region VII Coordinator for the National Association of Biology Teachers.  Region VII comprises the 5 state region of Oklahoma Arkansas, Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona.  As Regional Coordinator, her duties include NABT membership promotion and appointment of State NABT Coordinators and state Directors for the Outstanding Biology Teacher Award program.  Bethany is a long time member of NABT and received Oklahoma’s OBTA award in 2012.  She currently serves on the Board of the Oklahoma Science Teachers Association as District 2 (NW) Director. Bethany holds a BS in science education from Oklahoma State University is soon to complete a Masters degree in Education Leadership from the University of Central Oklahoma.
