Gus Likes the Massachusetts Standards

In an email sent today by to all his House colleagues, Representative Gus Blackwell, Chair of the House Rules Committee condemned the use of the Next Generation Science Standards as a pattern for the proposed Oklahoma Academic Skills for Science and complaining they were simply copied:

If the State Department was going to copy standards, why didn’t they copy Massachusetts or Indiana standards that received an “A” grade?”

It appears he had his chance to do that last week (and still could today)
