The Presidential Award for Excellence in Science, Mathematics, and Engineering Mentoring is a Presidential award established by the White House in 1995. This award recognizes individuals and organizations from both public and private sectors who mentor persons from underrepresented populations in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). These populations include underrepresented racial and ethnic groups, women, persons with disabilities, persons from disadvantaged socioeconomic backgrounds, and early career scientists and engineers. Like the PAEMST award, the award includes $10,000, a trip to Washington, D.C., and a recognition ceremony with the opportunity to engage with policymakers on STEM mentoring.

We encourage you to submit a nomination or nominate someone for the upcoming competition. All nomination packets are due vie NSF’s FastLane System or Grants.gov by Friday, October 3, 2014 at 6:00 P.M. EDT.
